Letter from the Editor

by Sterling Davis

Gandhi once said, "The best way to find oneself is to lose oneself in the service of others." Art, the highest human value, operates emphatically in the service of humanity. If indeed "all men are brothers," surely art can connect us to one another more than fallible human hands. And the pathway to becoming who one is is art. Art is everything. Let us all praise the artist. And let us all cultivate new forms of art. Poetries in English Magazine will be indefatigable in championing the hero's journey of our artists and advocating for free speech, countering cancel culture, and creating a space where all voices can be heard.

Sterling Davis is the Executive Editor of Poetries in English.
