Kathleen Wheaton
Kathleen Wheaton grew up in California and attended Stanford University; she then received an MFA from Boston University. She worked for 35 years as a journalist and travel writer based in Madrid, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City and Washington, D.C. Her fiction has appeared in many journals and four anthologies and her collection, Aliens and Other Stories, received the Washington Writers' Publishing House Fiction Prize. She is a 2024-2026 Stegner Fellow at Stanford, where she is at work on a second story collection and a novel.
